One of my favourite mediums since I was a kid!
Now I'm playing with the tools of misogyny from my childhood. I'm ripping, crumpling and glueing the pages of old bibles into rocks and stones. They are the perfect size to fit in the palm of your hand. The perfect size for throwing.
They say Jesus loved women, because he disuaded men from stoning a woman to death. And yet the bible has been a tool of mysogyny with its male god giving birth to the world and its creation story blaming Eve for everything evil in the world.
These are the stones made from the pages that were suppose nourish us spiritually.
